Welcome

Welcome to Gaddesden Row JMI School!

It gives me great pleasure to write to you as the Headteacher of Gaddesden Row JMI School and to welcome you to our small and nurturing environment.

Gaddesden Row JMI is a small village school with a 'positive and welcoming atmosphere' (Ofsted 2014) situated in the middle of the beautiful countryside of the Gaddesden Estate. We frequently work in partnership with neighbouring village schools, and our close and committed team works hard to capitalise on our unique environment. Children benefit from small class sizes in all year groups. More than half our pupils travel to us from the nearest town, Hemel Hempstead, whilst others come from the surrounding villages. The school has recently had a 'good' Ofsted outcome, which highlighted our 'courteous, friendly and considerate' pupils.

Since joining the school in September 2015, all of the parents, staff and children have made me feel very welcome and I feel privileged to be working in our school community. I am therefore very proud to be the Headteacher of Gaddesden Row JMI School, leading what I believe is a unique school with excellent opportunities for all.

Determined to secure an excellent future for the school, we have the very highest expectations of all the staff and pupils and it is our intention, by working together to raise standards in every area, to help all pupils to achieve their full potential. This is to ensure we are able to meet the needs of all our pupils to achieve their full potential in their academic, creative, personal, physical, moral and spiritual development.

I know how vital working in partnerships with parents really is, in order for children to find school a positive and rewarding experience. I strongly believe achievement and enjoyment go hand in hand to ensure each child’s excellent progress.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you would like to visit our school or if there is anything we can do to help and support you with your child’s learning and school life.
